Flakey Skin

The one thing that I am always trying to find is a way to combat my dry flakey skin. My skin has a mind of its own, and I can not seem to read it. No matter what I use my skin reacts the same way. I have tried lotions, scrubs, oils, and creams. After my thyroidectomy my skin dryiness became worse.

So today I am eating cottage cheese because it is said to carry selenium and other minerals to fight my dandruff. Cottage cheese is also known to assist with the beauty of glowing skin.

The thyroid is a major organ in the body. When you lose it or some regular functions you lose a lot. The thyroid job is to regulate hormones. It controls every day functions such as, sleeping, weight, energy, appetite, and temperature just to name a few. 

Selenium has many benefits. It improves blood flow,  increases immunity, helps defend against cancer, and is an antioxidant. 

Cottage Cheese also provides vitamin B-12, B-1, B-3, B-6, vitamin A, iron, zinc, copper, magnesium, calcium, potassium, folate, and riboflavin. It is great for building muscles mass and weight loss. 

I struggle with not having a thyroid because my hormones are all over the place even with my meds. I hope this post helps anyone with thyroid issues. Let me know how you are dealing with your thyroid issues. Leave a comment below.
